Sokushinbutsu (即身仏) were Buddhist monks or priests who caused their own deaths in a way that resulted in their mummification. This practice reportedly took place almost exclusively in northern Japan around Yamagata Prefecture. It is believed that many hundreds of monks tried, but only 24 such mummifications have been discovered to date.

Their diet was nuts and seeds for 1000 days, after that they only ate bark and roots while getting rid of body fat, After the 1000 days they drank a poisionous tea made from the sap of Urushi tree.

Finally, a self-mummifying monk would lock himself in a stone tomb barely larger than his body, where he would not move from the lotus position. His only connection to the outside world was an air tube and a bell. Each day he rang a bell to let those outside know that he was still alive.When the bell stopped ringing, the tube was removed and the tomb sealed. After the tomb was sealed, the other monks in the temple would wait another 1,000 days, and open the tomb to see if the mummification was successful.

If the monk was mummified he was instantly seen as Buddha and put on display. If the mummification wasnt successful then the monk wasn’t seen as one, yet still admired for his trying.

Blairsden Mansion is most popular for it’s legend of a mass murder of the nuns that had lived there and the ghosts that haunt the grounds to this very day. The story goes, that, one day the usual grocery boy had showed up at the mansion to do his usual routine of picking up the groceries, and the Mother Superior had not answered his knocking at the door. He thought nothing of it, figured she forgot and left. The next day he had shown up, and the same thing had happened…no answer. The boy was concerned and called the police. What they had found was a horrible, bloody massacre. Each and every nun was torn to pieces. Now, they saw the Mother Superior had gotten herself into Paganism and wanted to convert the others. When they refused, she had tortured and killed her fellow sisters, then, killed herself.

My front door is pretty active. We have 2 to be specific, an iron screen door and a wooden door. The screen is always locked but the wooden door’s lock has been broken for years and never fixed because with the screen door it’s literally impossible to open.

It was very late, around 3 am. I had gotten into bed ready to turn the light off when I heard a knock at my door and very quietly heard my name being called. I figured it was my dad because he always stayed up very late and always said goodnight to me if I was up. So I get up, open the door and no one was there. I peered into the living room and heard my father snoring very loudly in bed down the hallway. So I figured who ever it was, just wanted to bug me. I got back into bed, turned the light off and again, I heard knocking at my door. I refused to get up knowing it wasn’t real. The knocking became a bit more persistent. I still refused and it suddenly stopped.

Next thing I know there is someone at the front door BANGING to get in. I keep myself thinking it’s a homeless man when in the back of my mind I know it’s not. Even my dogs were barking it was so loud. I’m a few feet away from my door, it’s still banging and my dogs are standing by me with their hair standing up on their backs. There’s a window on the side of the front door that lets you see onto the porch. I look over, the banging stops, and there is no one there. I take a deep breath, open the wooden door and still no one is there. I look at the locks and check that they’re still locked. They are. I look out onto the street and it’s the quietest it’s ever been. I close the door and walk back into bed.

One thing that’s bothered me since that night. If we have two doors, and they’re knocking on the second one, with approx. two inches of space in between them. The screen door was locked, who was knocking on the second door?

My dad had moved into a new house after my parent’s divorced. He was having a hard time being alone and after a week or so, he started feeling a presence, like a pressure on the side of the bed during the middle of the night. A bit later and he saw it was the figure of a women. She wore a long white dress and had waist-length hair. After a while she started rubbing his back when she thought he was asleep. She would sing to him and at some point tried to pass of sexual favors (at least according to him). Once he started dating again, the ghost would throw things and pull the girls hair and burn food they had made, etc. My dad eventually yelled at the ghost and told her she had to leave and she screamed set the bed on fire, but never returned again after.
I was about 6 at the time. I had seen this ghost myself once when I had spent the night at his house. I had woken up at about 3 in the morning and went to the bathroom. Since I was used to sleeping in bed with my mother (with whom I lived with), I would check up on my dad to make sure he was sleeping alright. When I opened the door a little bit and peeked in, I saw a pale white figure hugging my dad. I didn’t think much of it (as I had been raised around white magic and ghost stories) and simply smiled and kept the memory.
I was sad to find out she was actually a very maleficent being.

Majestic 12 (also known as Majic 12, Majestic Trust, M12, MJ 12,MJ XII, Majority 12 or Mars-Jupiter 12) is the alleged code name of a secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, supposedly formed in 1947 by an executive order of U.S. President Harry S. Truman. The alleged purpose of the committee was to investigate UFO activity in the aftermath of the Roswell incident—the supposed crash of the alien spaceship near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947.

The Majestic 12 is an important part of the UFO conspiracy theory of an ongoing government cover up of UFO information. The FBI has declared that the documents associated with the Majestic 12 committee are “completely bogus”.

Hard to say what’s going on here, but obviously the FBI is going to deny that the documents are legit, whether or not they are real.
